Contemplated between this restaurant and another before coming in here, again – for dinner after being turned away when we went for lunch.⏰ do note that it’s better to make reservations prior to going, it was full house by 7pm on a Friday night. Also note that they are closed at 2pm and reopens at 6pm – suggests that the management updates their operating hours based on this since it’s not reflected.🥔 rosti wasn’t to our liking, but I imagine anyone who likes cheesy stuff would love it🐖 the pork schnitzel was good, a giant serving as stated was served, and it was a feat to actually finish it – fries were quite salty in our opinion though🥧 the cheese pie was the star of the show, we only got it because we thought the photo looked good on the menu – but it turned out to be properly flavourful! The pie had a great crust and texture, coupled with the cheese which was thick and heavy, it’s a superb combination.The service was great too, with the server asking if we needed any condiments to go with our food upon serving, also checking in regularly if the food tasted good, and if we needed extra food or drinks 👍🏻Definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Lucerne looking for a Swiss meal!

Cute outdoor restaurant with a view of the waters. Food was delicious! Parfait was yummy too. It is pricey but this is old town Lucerne. Restroom is on the inside along with a bar area. They open til midnight but the kitchen close at 9! Mainly for ice cream and coffee afterwards. Walk ins welcome! We didn’t have a reservation and waited 15 minutes for a table.

Was kinda sad I didn’t get to order the asparagus dishes even though it was in season- waitress said they’re changing the menu this week Either ways, we got soup of the day (onion soup), the lamb stew & veal sausage with rösti. Main dishes taste great but both was a wee bit salty. (Are Swiss food salty in general?? I don’t know). Plus points for the restaurant for giving us a basket of bread for soup and topping it up with more bread for lamb stew.

Our first meal in Luzern. Managed to sit outside on a bright spring day with excellent views of the river. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Will definitely return here if we’re back in Luzern.

Personally didn’t enjoy the vegetarian dish I ordered here. Should have had the roesti instead. Felt like the macaroni was over cooked and heavy. The dish didn’t feel balanced and was too rich for my taste.

Wonderful outside seating right beside the Weir of the River Truss with its gushing frothy water falling to the lower flow. If you can get a table right at the Riverside fence the view is even more enjoyable. The food is good and the service friendly👍
