EXTREMELY poor service. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to take our order, then about 20 minutes for them to start working on our order (which they said would take about 5 minutes). They had served many people who came after us in between. We were on a schedule so ended up not having food (we told this to them when we placed our order). They let us leave without paying (which is nice) but we would not recommend.

I wish I could say that I love it as there are so few Cantonese restaurants around, and yes it’s mostly a Cantonese restaurant as the chef is from there and do are nearly half of the dishes.So we ordered fried udon with beef which was actually pretty good (even if a bit heavy on MSG but that’s totally fine). I’d recommend it.The Oolong tea was way too weak even after asking to increase the amount of tea.The lemon chicken should have a lemon sauce all around, not deep fried dry chicken with sauce below, and the cutting was wrong, and a slight taste of expired batter.The roasted duck with soya was completely Western style, nothing original at all. Avoid it!The service was friendly-ish but a bit light for their size and mostly the serving was rather slow for the mains, and you should have a spoon with chopsticks, not fork and knife. That’s details. Some washing issues with cutleries as well (which I’d have forgiven for an original Cantonese restaurant).We did also order a Tom Yam Kung (yes Thai), which was just okay, in that it was missing some of the flavors you’d expect.One good point, we didn’t get charged for the extra plate to share food (as other mentioned).Overall I cannot recommend this place at the time being. I hope that the owner decides or gives the choice of either a traditional or localized experience because right now it’s neither.
