Fantastic evening at Rubino. Second time here and it doesn’t disappoint! First time we had the 4 course surprise menu, this time the 5 course menu. Everything extremely tasty, especially the second course (mushroom dish with black walnuts). Perfectly paired wine menu that doesn’t leave you wanting more. Very good value!

Rudest dining experience of my life. The owner thinks she’s humorous when in reality she is just flat out nasty. Food is also presented as being inventive and it is actually boring food pretending to be unique. The wine selection is good, but I can’t give credit to the restaurant for this and can only applaud the wine makers. The fact that this restaurant is successful shows you that the Basel restaurant scene really needs to step up their game.

Very good restaurant, I have a gluten intolerance and it was no problem at all for the kitchen. All dishes were very tasty and a pleasure for the eyes too. Our waiter Marina was very friendly and explained everything if we had questions. Highly recommended, if we visit Basel again we will come back for sure.
