Stumbled upon this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We had no reservation but they still allowed us to sit down for 1.5 hours and enjoy our dinner and drinks. They have beautiful modern outdoor and indoor seating. I had a lemon risotto with rucola and different cheeses. The taste was fresh and the risotto cooked as it should be. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the exceptional long wait (far over 1 hour) despite knowing we were on a clock.

Good food in nice location at reasonable pricesN47°33.831′ E7°35.477′ After an expensive dinner in Grossbasel, we opted for a more affordable dinner at Kaserne (old barracks) in Kleinbasel. Prior to our diner, we had some drinks at the Parterre One bar in front of the barrack ground.In September 2019, we ordered a classic Wienerschnitzel including potato salad (CHF38) and vegetables (CHF4). The Schnitzel was well prepared and tasted good. The pikeperch fillet with linden salad, orange fennel and herb coast (CHF32) tasted nice. We ended the dinner with Toblerone, raspberry, crumble, tonka bean (CHF9) for dessert. Good conclusion of a good diner.We liked to sit outside on the terrace in September. Service was good.

Excellent service and good food in nice surroundings. Good value for money by Swiss standards. Menu is limited (for example main course fish option only swordfish) but should cater for everyone including vegetarian. Certainly worth a visit.

Very spacious and well located restaurant in the center of Basel opposite a small park. The Austrian chef offers excellent Wiener Schnitzel served with French fries and tasty vegetables from the season. Make sure you have not eaten too much beforehand as portions are big in true Austrian style.
