I was in Basel for the week for a business conference. Business travel for the Kosher observant is always tricky. Eli from Numnum was incredibly helpful in arranging Kosher food during my visit. He was accommodating of schedule, deliveries and food preferences regardless of restaurant opening times, without which, my diet likely would have consisted of Pringles and Coke Zero. Food was fresh, tasty and good quality and service was friendly and generous.

I have visited Numnum restaurant recently for the first time and was not very impressed with the quality of food.Tomato soup, that resembled in taste and texture a tomato sauce, half-frozen rolls and not-so-fresh, stuffed eggplant dish.To give a justice, the restaurant is now engaged in helping Ukrainian refugees (Great work, BRAVO!) and this may cause that the priorities in the kitchen are slightly shifted.To summarise: very friendly stuff, but quite average food, that does not justify the prices. Let’s hope that its just a temporary situation.

New meaty kosher restaurant in the space that previously housed Topaz, downstairs of the IGB synagogue community center. Currently in a soft opening. Reasonably priced and tasty food. See the specials of the day. We were told that the website os coming soon. They can provide catering, and shabbat & Yom tov meals. Enjoy
