A nice place to come and watch a game. Prices are fair, selection is good. Too bad you can’t always get the food you want on a busy football day.

We were happy to finding such a place in Bern, with truly good English vibes and the possibility to watching sports events and “singing the national anthem as your rugby team prepares to battle it out” (as it is written on their Internet site)… The beer was also very good. Unfortunately the ad on the site is not true, or at least it wasn’t when we went there. I am talking about the Six Nations rugby final match, not just any match. Two different people asked the waiter if we could hear the match instead of the music, and the answer was twice an almost bored “No, I will leave the music”. At the end of the first half, there were 15 minutes break before the second one. After 10 minutes, one of the waiters put the screen on a football match. Mind you, there were at least two other screens already on that match. He could at least have done that immediately, we missed 30 minutes of the second half thanks to that. That’s a shame because the place is really nice, but I would have expected something different when reading on their site. Never again.

Good sport club. You might want to reserve a table in the evening. The staff is nice and speak mostly English. The burgers are excellent.

Basically the best pub in Bern. Always good people and a good service in the pub. Next time you are here, get yourself a Boddingtons Beer and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere.The pub excelled for years now and hopefully will stay that way for a long time.

It’s a pub, as proper as they come! The bartenders poured me a fine ale and chatted like they worked there already for 50 years. Would definitely recommend!
