Love this place. Great decor, all the food is great, amazing beers and scotches. A must stop for sure.

Went there a while back and the fish and chips was terrible. Half of it was inedible. Decided not to go back for a while.Went back yesterday (Tuesday) and rather than risk a meal I ordered the sausage and bacon baguette which was really very good. I was happy. I went back today, Wednesday, and ordered it again and it was terrible, really over-fried and dry. I could only eat half of it. I don’t know if it’s different staff or what but it’ll again be a long time before I take the risk ordering food.The (female) servers are always kind and pleasant. Drinks are rather expensive (7 CHF for a soda) but you make that choice when you go in.

Very nice pub located in a very nice, central spot in Basel. Atmosphere, personnel, food and drinks were all top quality! Totally worth to pay a visit if you like this wooden style of pub and of course pub food!
