My wife and I tried Max and Otto for the first time this week. We will certainly go back. The cocktails were good and the use of seasonal foods was fantastic.It is asparagus season and there was an entire page on the menu devoted to the in season specials. I had soup and asparagus risotto. Delicious!Prices were good and the staff was excellent.

This is the hotel we stayed in for 5-6 days. We absolutely loved it, the rooms. And especially the restaurant & food & wait staff was amazing. Highly recommend!!!!!! From Texas, with we had a place like this at home.

Located inside the Hotel Europe, which is a small quaint old Zurich hotel. We stayed in hotel for 2 nights and used restaurant often. The food is excellent and the service is exceptional. We went a few times for drinks in afternoon and evening. The staff and service are great. The manager on duty was always willing to share knowledge, explain menu, and visit with guests. Room has a very nice ambiance. This is also where the hotel provides an excellent breakfast.

Lovely ambiance and staff. Italian-esque food with super friendly staff who also contribute to the menu. Lovely seasonal amuse-bouche with the tortellini and seasonal crème brûlée with kumquat.

First all the good things: The service is perfect, you immediately feel welcome. The ambience of the place is great as well. We had the goat cheese with watermelon and strawberries as a starter, absolutely heavenly and refreshingly creative. My expectations for the rest of the evening were high!But: The menu for the main courses is very uninteresting. Spaghetti Pomodoro, Burger, Beef Tartare, … nothing special. I chose the burger (35 bucks!) and was utterly disappointed. The patty was dry and was likely ready-made/frozen, the sauces couldn’t have been more bland. Worst of all: When we got the receipt, the starter was there for 16 bucks, but in the card it was 14.50. Too little to complain, but enough to leave a sour aftertaste. 🙁
