La Cène en un mot: divin!5* + 1* (bonus)❤Update:10 years la Cène. Happy birthday! The staff seems proud of this achievement and they should. It’s only the second time I’ve been here but I really hope La Cène stays around for many more years because… it’s just amazing. The best food I’ve ever had, even better than last time. You can literally see the chef and his crew put their passion into your plate, like artists. Impressive. And so is the rest of the team. Friendly, attentive, not some stiff people in monkey suits but just a kind, welcoming lady and gents. I have to admit that it’s not a cheap place to go but I truly believe it’s worth every Swiss franc. So if you want to celebrate something or you just want to treat yourself with fine food, then definitely try La Cène. By the way, ever heard of the concept of ‘pre-dessert’? I let you experience for yourself.

We lunch at La Cene every couple of weeks and so far we have not found another restaurant to match it in either food or service. The set menus are well balanced, imaginative and well presented and the service impeccable. They always reserve our favorite table and remember our preferences. There is an excellent selection of wines by the glass, we usually ask for a recommendation to go with each course and it always pleases.
