I really liked Rösti with salmon. My partner ordered a chicken woot fries. Both were delicious. However the meal was small and I still felt hungry. Unfortunately dessert was not an option since they were closing the kitchen in the middle of the day. It’s surprising for a foreigner that all restaurants in Switzerland are closed for a few hours during the day. I guess we should get used to it 😉 Servers were nice and professional and the restaurant looks amazing inside.

Good place to try rosti or flamenkuche. Food was tasty, and staff was friendly. The restaurant is really big, lots of seats available, so it can be a good option if you don’t have a reservation.

I really liked the Flammkuchen, the dessert was not as good as I thought, not bad, just not super flavourful. The tea variety from Sirocco is really nice

Staff is supper (pun intended) friendly, the food is great. We were there for dinner with colleagues, great service and the flammkuchen are especially nice. Not the ideal place for deep conversations as the trams are loud and very frequent, but overall it’s highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant with a really nice ambiance in the heart of Basel. The wait staff were extra cordial and pleasantly engaged us. The food was good but could definitely use some improvements here and there. My salad was absolutely delicious- fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. My pork tenderloins were very good and I loved the apricot “stuffing”. The gravy was not nearly enough and my potatoes should have been cooked for 8 minutes longer. Portion sizes are on the small side. Overall, a nice visit.

The dishes were decent and the prices were relatively fair. A great place to try the flammkuchen, the Rosti was also great 👍.The restaurant is located in the city center which was nice for me but if you’d prefer to eat in silence then there is an indoor sitting option.The staff could be more helpful and responsive and maybe an English menu would be nice.

Terrible place. Noisy as hell with all the trams. Food was poor canteen quality but the price was not. Beer was warm and expensive. Waitress a very friendly and had a good sense of humour.
