This is literally the nicest Japanese restaurant I have come across in Zurich, run by real Japanese. The food selection is great, service super polite, price very fair for the quantity and quality they serve. We loved our dinner. One more thing to mention is the super clean WC w cutest Tampon box. It is so Japanese, they even individually wrapped the tampon like a candy. 😂

I was sad after hearing that Samurai II was gone. But it looks like someone (ex Samurai Employee?) bought the Restaurant and reopened it under the Name Ichizen.All i can say is that I’m very happy that Ichizen is here and mostly offers the same dishes as Samurai II did.I can recommend Ichizen to people who miss the japanese dishes, especially for those who wanted to visit Japan but couldn’t due to the pandemic situation.P.S. i gave “only” 4 Stars but i will upgrade them to 5 Stars on my next visit, unless something unfortunate happens.

This Japanese restaurant is awesome!!! You can feel somehow it’s real and it is. We wanted to try many things but we ordered gyudon and tantan ramen this time. Both are delicious and the price is fare. It’s a little bit far from the main Zurich area but it’s worth it to come here. The bathroom is very clean and it’s like Japan.

Super fresh sashimi, 5stars! Tender yakitori, 5stars, Yuzu cheese cake, authentic and delicious, 5 ⭐️! The wasabi is freshly made, not like the tube packaging ones from others. 紫苏叶is also extraordinary.
