Food is good, a bit expensive. The menu has been shrinking, much less variety and less’fancy’ than it used to be. I’ve been eating there for 20 years and have the impression it’s been moving somewhat down market. The decor is also not as nice as it used to be, before they removed the actual ‘fontaine’. Artisanal pasta is still very good.

During my six-days travel in Sion, i’ve been in this place twice. Right in the city centre, the restaurant is really pretty and the staff is very kind. The quality of the food is superbe, the ” risotto avec fraises du valais” it’s one of the best things that i ever ate.

Their Calamaretti are out of this world, both by being super fresh and tender, and in the way they serve them on ancient tomatoes and with ground clove on the side!

My wife, our friend and her two kids found this restaurant by accident. I had the Risotto aux betteraves et gorgonzola, my wife had the Ravioli de gibier sauce au foie gras et teuffe d’automne, our friend had the Luganighe au merlot, polenta rouge and the kids had pizza. Vegan and Gluten Free options were clearly marked. The three adults are foodies and we loved every bite of our dishes. Prices were reasonable and we were all delightfully surprised at the high quality of our meals. Imy sorry I didn’t take pictures for this review.
