One of the few Peruvian restaurants around the city.Nice staff and okay decor, quite spacious and chill.Food is nice and pretty authentic.A bit pricy around 50 pp so not your casual dining place I’d say, but good portion.

Just wow.The food is in the pricey range at around 40-50 chf but I don’t think there were many times where it was worth it more. The food was pure art. It was delicious, not a single dish had even a part of it not being perfect. We had ceviche which was nice and sour but with just the right amount of spice, a lamb knuckle that literally fell off the bone and lechon (porklet) with a creamy mash potato that was made of dreams. Honestly order the lechon. The service despite not being great at English tried so hard to accommodate us it was amazing. And please order a pisco sour. The bartender really knows his stuff.

This restaurant was truly a highlight of our time in Lausanne! Though we arrived late for our reservation (just before the end of lunch hours), the staff kept the kitchen and restaurant open for us. They were incredibly welcoming and were patient with our Franglish and accommodating as we took our time ordering/enjoying our food. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal!!! The Peruvian cuisine was at once traditional in taste and novel in presentation—above all, it was truly delicious, the definition of grastonomique. I particularly recommend the causa!El Batán is certainly a must-visit in Lausanne!! 🙂

Finally a Peruvian restaurant in Lausanne! Peru is known to be the French gastronomy of South America and when I was travelling there I really loved the food. The food in El Batán is really authentic and allowed me two travel back in my memories. Don’t forget to try their Peruvian cocktails as well.

Second best Peruvian restaurant in the area. Prices are pretentious. You will find the best Peruvian restaurant in Morges with better prices.
