I loved my meal at the Castellan. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and had such a great flavor profile. They have a great menu with many dishes to choose from: chicken, potatoes, ratatouille, octopus and what not. The food is tasty and diverse and not at all boring like most restaurants. I also love that they have a modern design and great art on their walls. The staff is so welcoming and attentive too!

One star goes to our lovely waiter Larry. Zero star for the chef’s lack of effort, and quite an insult to whoever gave the lovely name of Yves’s French toast. I envisioned artisanal bread coated in buttery golden crust, little did I know, it was an minimalistic presentation of three sad small pieces of bread, with oddly placed jam. I suppose Yves was not having the best morning.

Very well done spanish tapas/mediterranean cuisine. Presentation is excellent; wine pairing is excellent and the services was 5/5. Really enjoyed the rack of lamb. Pattas Bravas could have come with a side of aiolii, but they brought it fast on request. Really nice off the map and away from crowds place. Michelin potential here.

First of all, our waitress was AMAZING. but everything else was so far off…Mains were so small, yet pitched to us as normal Swiss portions. Things lacked flavor, portion, and poorly listed (maybe this was an English menu translation issue?). “Cake” = “pie”, “rack of lamb” = “three micro ribs,” and “salad”= “three small spears.” We’re all for right portioned food, but at these prices, Lucerne, Salzburg, Venice, and even Bern are cheaper. Also, our rockstar server was basically the only one working. For 300+CHF, hire another employee.
