Expecting this to be a café and bar, the exquisite food was a wonderful surprise. I made several return trips after such a great experience to continue to explore the menu. Food and drinks are delicious and well presented, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The service is stupendous, even though I speak no German, they were welcoming and assisted with the menu. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I enjoyed a great lunch at this delightful cafe. Booking was easy through their online booking system. First I enjoyed the best coffee I’ve had so far in Aarau (I had a soya cappuccino) and then a delicious and very nicely presented Thai red curry with Tofu. This cafe also has great outdoor undercover seating, which makes it a reliable choice in this season where Co-Vid restrictions prevent us from sitting inside, and rain can potentially spoil our outdoor plans. The service was also excellent, and the ambience is very cute. Thanks Lockentopf team 🙂

terribly salted pumpkin soup. they tried a second time to bring one less salted. slightly less… I couldn‘t eat it – BUT THEY MADE ME PAY FOR THAT. Uh! what a concept! and what a Shame!
