So popular! And definitely worth the hype. Lots of locals which is always a good sign. CASH only!! Accept euros at a 1:1 rate, at the time of this post that wasn’t too far off from the actual exchange rate 1:1.01.The single portion of fondue is enough for two and a really good deal (25 francs!).Amazing view and ambiance. Place gets busy and is a bit confusing to navigate. It’s self service where you go up and order your food, pay, grab a tray and get your cutlery. If you order fondue they’ll bring it to you, but anything else you’ll wait and grab at the bar unless instructed otherwise. Predominately French speaking, but they understand a bit of English. But just be polite and patient.Tip: don’t drink beer or water with fondue, opt for tea or wine, it’s a Swiss lore that anything else will cause a stomachache

This is a very popular cheese fondue restaurant that many friends recommended. As this was my first time trying cheese fondue, I have no comparison, but the cheese was delicious with bread and small potatoes. The salad, on the other hand, could be better (or at least seasoned). Wine was refreshing and the night view outside was marvelous. Beware of the smell indoors, it’s going to be super strong.

This is by far the best place to eat in Geneva. Amazing view of the lake, a wide variety of food options, and extremely affordable. Most days the plat du jour is 14 chf, and it’s more creative and better tasting than other restaurants where you pay double the amount. You can get some amazing fondue as well. If you’re going for lunch, get there early as it’s no secret that the food here is good.

Great place to eat a traditional Swiss Fondue. The price is more or less 25 euros per person, and they will serve you a huge pot of cheese to share with your family or friends, and a great basket of bread to combine with the cheese (the bread basket can be refilled as many times as you want). You can also order some potatoes to have with the cheese, or moreover some traditional dishes if you want, but let me advise you that the cheese and the bread are food enough for one person. It is a really popular place, as the price is not that high knowing that you are in Switzerland, and the food is delicious. The mix of cheeses (Gruyere and Emmental) combined with the wine that they add, gives a fantastic flavour to the Fondue.Furthermore, the place is in a kind of pier in the Lac de Genève, where you will have great sights to Genève and the Jet d’Eau, what gives the place even more charm that it has.Highly recommended!

I’d give 10 * if I could !!! Best place in Genev, prob. Switzerland, Europe, maybe world-wide – not joking!! TOP when it comes to authenticity, originality, QUALITY of food, all managed by a wonderful team. Did I mention there is also sauna/hammam, professional massages, and ALL AT VERY REASONABLE cost. True sense of UNIQUENESS applies to the Bains de Paquîs in Geneva! NB: and situated opposite the 5* hotels (sadly overpriced though one can find deals…)

I made a reservation here for the hype around the cheese fondue on reviews. We got the serving for one person and the cheese:bread ratio was insane (SO MUCH CHEESE). The amount of cheese and bread for this one serving was easily enough for 4-5 people as an appetizer but if intending to be a main course, then could be split among two. The cheese was very rich. For 25 euros I’d definitely recommend as an experience if in Geneva. Be sure to make a reservation and also bring cash only (card not accepted).

Cheese Fondue. Ok, I think I overkilled my tastebuds with this pot of cheese fondue for my first meal in Geneva (it was way too much cheese for one person). This eatery is situated within Bain des Pâquis and that means a 2CHF entry fee for adults. This is a popular spot for the locals during Summer as they sunbath or dip into Lac Geneva for a cooling swim.

Very popular place in Geneva, where a lot of locals meet to eat.Probably one of the best place to eat a traditional Swiss Fondue.Fondue costs 25 francs per person (pot ca. 1.2 l) and is enough to share with 2 or 3 people, when you buy fondue you get big basket of bread to combine with the cheese (the bread basket can be refilled as many times as you want).Remember: don’t drink water to/after fondue, tea or wine are better, cause fondue is very fatty food.Reserevation is not mandatory.CASH ONLY!!!Buvette des Bains is situated within Bain des Pâquis and that means a 2CHF entry fee for adults.

Superb. Outdoor, on lake Geneva. People swimming off the path as you walk in, and a large bouldering block stood in the lake so that falling means a dip in the water. It’s an informal place, and busy even on the calmest days. For good reason. The food is gorgeous. Fresh salads, and the fondue so good it matches fine chocolate or the best coffee in instantaneous delight. There’s also night swimming, with a blue underwater light illuminating a small section of the lake.

We visited at night and it’s definitely a local spot. Friendly staff and the food is not very expensive for the city
