Amazing place! It has a perfect terrace that is super relaxing and away from the cars. You can even build your own burguer or sandwich from scratch by choosing the ingredients you desire ! Everything was delicious
Very nice place away from the streets. The burgers, also the vegan, are delicious and the fries tasted almost like the best fries (Belgian) in the world 😁Special shout-out to the staff for there enthusiasm en friendly service!!!!!
Fresh salad but not so fresh walnuts. Chicken burger with coleslaw tasted very good. The fries were unfortunately too soggy.
Absolutely wonderful meal. I had the salsiccia patty with my burger, and the whole meal tasted fresh, juicy, and well put together. Portion was quite reasonable for Switzerland, and the slightly hidden location means you can enjoy your meal in a relaxing ambiance.
I have spent quite a long time in Basel and just discovered this gem of a place today. Fair to say it is a hidden gem. You can custom build your salad, baguette and burger. Amazing place, ambience and super friendly staff. Taking away one star as I had higher expectation from the Lemonade.. something to make better.. Definitely Recommended 😀
I love the inner court. Take an apero outdoors and then eat indoors or whatever pleases you.Their specialty is something else, which is worth another post and it is quite trending. But in this post I want to speak about the marvelous burgers and options they have.Go there and try for yourselves. The 1777 burger is my favorite and if you are like me I eat the burger, I do not need the fries. They come as an optional side, so there is no way around it. Focus on the burger. The only modification that I do to it is that you ask for the bunny of the vegan burger, which is some kind of wholewheat bun.The place is on a first view interesting but a bit blunt, but the overall experience for most of the people I talked to like it extremely. It’s kid friendly, it requires you to book ahead, as it is relatively small.
If you’re in Basel and wants to try a real burger this is the best place in town! We were checking out the area for food and stumbled upon this gem. It is located inside what seems to be a business compound. Don’t let the posh setting fool you into thinking this is an uptown restaurant. In reality it has what I feel is down to earth and courteous people, like your typical local neighbourhood gem. You have to try the 1777 Burger (number 1 on the special menu). One bite and OMG, all the flavours burst and hopefully will redefine what a burger tastes like (it did for me and I’m from Australia!). And you can’t complete the meal without ordering a side of fries. It is fries because it is in tiny shoestring fries! Feeling thirsty? Pick their home brewed ice tea. It’s really refreshing. They also have healthy options too such as personalised baguette, salad and cheese platter. It is also a bar and offers an extension list of wines and beers. Shame I don’t really drink. The ambience is just perfect for a night out with friends. The courtyard should be perfect during spring/summer time. I absolutely recommend this place if you’re visiting Basel (just look at the reviews!).
